I wanted to understand the percentage increase of these new capacity expansions and its subsequent impact on top and bottom line and the timeline when these capacities can be fully utilised .
The stock has run up a bit already wanted to understand if the stock is not running ahead of fundamentals .

That will be precisely known in next quarter representation as US plan will be delayed by some months
BY FY 2025 8100 8200 CR TOPLINE WILL BE POSSIBLE
You can calculate bottom line and EPS considering year average net profit margin.

Polyplex Stock is about 38%-40% down from its ATH of Rs 2,870 in April 2022. So are many other shares in the Packaging Industry - Cosmo First is at its 52 Week low today. Jindal Poly is about 40% lower from Rs 1,449 in March 2022. Mold Tek went all the way up to Rs 1,058 in August and has been falling since - It has fallen approx 20% in last 2 months. Some Key areas in the upcoming Q2 Results would be 1) Exports to Europe and US for the Industry at large, 2) Capacity Utilization as many of the players have increased capacity that have got commissioned in the last few months, and in addition to Results 3) for Polyplex specifically, would be Changes in the Share holding pattern (if any)

October 17th - 1.62 Lakhs traded with a Deliverable Quantity of 54.8%.
October 18th - 3.07 Lakhs quantity and a Deliverable quantity of 51% ,
October 19th - 3.58 lakhs with a Deliverable quantity of 35.4% -

So who’s buying such large quantities especially when the prices are correcting so very sharply?

Have the Exchanges asked Polyplex to clarify the news articles on Bain Capital/ Indorama / etc to buy out the Promoter stake? the way the Exchanges had asked Suven Pharma to clarify.
If not, could anyone explain why the Exchanges have not sought clarification?

Thanks for sharing @dnj14773

I have a feeling they are spending on brand building (may be the investment banker that they have hired suggested this ? ), this might help them to get better multiples to sell ? Even the presentation was very good.

Both Polyplex and Cosmo First Mgmt in their respective Commentary have sounded off that Q3FY2023 would be on similar lines as of Q1 and Q2FY2023 with destocking continuing in Q3 as well.
Demand likely to pick up post the Holiday season , i.e, Q4. Looks Markets may already have factored in Q3.
Also interesting was around 33 - 34 minute of Thailand Subsidiary Q3 Result Call - the Investor Question on BuyBack to make Thailand subsidiary a 100% owned sub- MD directed the question to the second speaker who replied in negation but also re-directed to the Finance Manager.

Cosmo and Polyplex are operating in different markets. Polyplex India play is a relatively smaller one compared to their overall size.

India is suffering from overcapacity - too many lines coming up in a short span of time. Polyplex doesn’t seem to have this issue in its international operations. They have demand, inventory wind-down and power costs issues. Plus forex conversion issues and inventory losses.

Agree Q3 is likely to be bottom as Q4 demand will likely revive and cost pressures will start coming down.

Yet despite the downtrend Polyplex is still very profitable and Balance Sheet is very healthy. Why does its promoter want to sell? How do people on this forum look at future of packaging films business in general ?
