I have been following company for a while, but i think promoters are quite vague in disclosures, like what is their order book which could be good KPI, i tried mapping their orders by going through disclosures but my order book calculations didnt add up with elara ones. Secondly new QIP announcement on 14th Feb during this market, promoters stake will be diluted further recent reduction in promoter stake are certain concerns but no doubt business is quite fascinating in this new sun rise industry

Genesys has posted extremely good results. But for the deferred tax of Rs 8 cr paid the NP would also have been good QoQ . The profit before tax at Rs 31.5 Cr vs Rs 26.1 Cr (QoQ) vs Rs 24.1 Cr ( YoY) is good performance. Attaching the media release of the company.

Good information about the kind of work that Genesys is engaging. A field that would be in lots of demand in Urban infra management & development , Defense , Mobility etc. One good thing about the company, it is working silently without much fanfare in a category that will be one of the key focus area of the Govt.

The company’s work and future prospects looks interesting for sure. But constant promotor selling every quarter is quite unsettling.

Company looking crazy cheap right now. Nearly halved inspite of a great FY 25. Either there is something more that misses the eye or a good opportunity to load up on these shares. Pretty bullish on the space in general. I guess the lack of info on the company as well aa promoter selling is dampening investor mood.

How do you think about the Cash flow conversions relative to reported profits?

Similar numbers can be seen for Ceinsys and their debt position seems manageable as of yet. Genesys does have govt exposure so could be a factor. Given the tech nature of the business and the potential for operating leverage, I feel confident. Any idea what their other financial assets which has single handedly contributed to negative CFO is

I am not certain if the below finding is correct or not but will mention anyway. I went through the FY25 annual report and checked the other financial assets in the consolidated balance sheet and tried to relate to the cash flow statement. It seems like other assets more than doubled. If anyone has better insights, please feel free to share.

As per note 9b

Yup. It does seem like unbilled revenue as thats 100 crore more than last year. Both FY23 and 25 had 50% rev growth which corresponded to a large jump in other financial assets. Need to see how this progresses

Genesys FY 25 AGM highlights :

Chairman Speech :

  • Companies goal is to create India’s most advanced location intelligence platform.

  • Also to build on a technology stack which took the entire current map experience from 2D to a very immersive 3D environment.

  • Platform that company has built, called Oyster is having measurable accuracy of 5cm with multiple layers of data associated with it.

  • The functionalities that are put on this platform are that one can do analysis which normally takes days/week is done in a matter of seconds by the agentic AI.

  • For example, a query about, what would be the road impact analysis on a particular road with a 50-meter kind of road widening project? this analysis is done in seconds by the agentic AI or the AI system that company has built.

  • The entire country’s 2D map data, 8.5 million kilometres of navigable roads, almost 150 million different kind of POI attributes. The IP belongs to Genesis.

  • Finished the phase one of the Bombay project. Image below is the digital twin of Mumbai.

  • Some work done in carbon infra in rooftop, Company has spent 3 yrs on this already on this building the entire tech stack- capabilities include data collection and processing.

  • On automotive side-cars are going towards becoming connected cars with heavy infotainment capabilities- below is the image of navigation map from Genesys.

QnA Highlights:

List of questions grouped together(I might have missed few questions)

1. Oyster Roll-out and Product Strategy

  • What is the plan to scale Oyster across Indian cities?
  • Will the rollout be privately SaaS or project-driven?
  • Size of the order book and how much is at an advanced stage?
  • Explain on the integration with national frameworks like DigiPin?
  • Could the digipin integration enable recurring platform revenue beyond one-off projects?

2. Middle East and International Expansion

  • Are you waiting for additional packages in Saudi or NEOM?
  • What share of FY26 revenue is expected from the Middle East?
  • What’s the current Saudi and Middle East strategy, since FY25 revenues there fell?
  • What’s the pipeline and order book outlook in that region?
  • After joining the European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries, what opportunities or RFPs with EU governments have emerged?

3. Automotive and HD Mapping

  • Are Indian OEMs moving from pilot to production in HD maps with partners like HERE and NNG?
  • What is the status of ADAS/HD map adoption with Tata, Mahindra, and others?
  • With Tesla entering India, are there concrete participation opportunities?
  • How do you assess MapmyIndia as a competitor?
  • Update on auto-side monetisation and progress with two-wheeler/four-wheeler OEMs.
  • Has the NNG partnership generated commercial business?

4. Financial and Accounting Matters

  • GIS database value: ₹40 cr created last year; ₹150 cr this year → total ~₹300–350 cr.
    • Depreciated over 3 years → ~₹100 cr annual depreciation.
    • Does management see this as a concern if large orders don’t materialise?
  • Subsidiary AV Natural (Cyprus): assets worth ₹133 cr.
    • What are these assets and how will they be written off?
  • Management’s view on equity dilution over next 2–3 years.

5. Growth Outlook and Business Mix

  • Which five verticals will contribute most revenue in next 3 years?
  • Expected growth rates for FY26 and the next 3 years.
  • Expected and sustainable EBITDA margins.
  • Are we still on track for ₹1,000–1,500 cr revenue in 3–4 years?
  • Which areas will drive that growth?

6. Organisational Strength

  • Any plans to strengthen senior management or hire senior leadership beyond Sajid?

7. Project and Segment Updates

  • Update on utilities and BharatNet businesses—still focus areas or deprioritised?
  • Status of land-record digitalisation project.
  • Why no government-segment digital twin or municipal wins yet? Any pipeline building up?

8. Data Maintenance and Refresh

  • Once datasets (ads, attributes, 3D city models) are captured, How frequently are they refreshed—yearly or on client demand?

Chairman response :

  • Goal is to have a platform-based, SaaS-based model, and company has been moving in that direction, already spent 3 yrs into this post the geospatial policy by GoI.
  • landmark urban bodies and cities are already using this, expect some testimonials from clients over next 2 weeks on this.
  • Dharavi redevelopment program with Adani was one of the complex mapping projects done by Genesys. some more examples are Pune and Varanasi urban projects.
  • Since there is no single comprehensive map or GIS provider for the 5000+ urban bodies in India, these projects are done in a very disparate manner.
  • The total addressable market is expanding as the GOI policy changes are allowing it to expand and also market adaption when they see the results/benefits of these. Time taken has reduced from 4 months to under 10 minutes to do this now.( I could not understand how this was achieved, but he quoted the Bombay project for reference, i assume this is possible because of the high quality maps inventory they already have for certain cities. )
  • Genesys has integrated with DigiPin which is similar to Aadhaar when it comes to Map ecosystem, this integration will help in scaling up of activities for Genesys.
  • Land records work by Govt is currently done in bits and pieces, Company already did a project in Andra for Land records digitisation. From Genesys point of view, the same unified platform that they have built can be used for all the use cases - urban infra, land records , disaster management, PWD works, emergency response tasks etc.
  • Reg 1000 crore revenue in 2-3 yrs - The Company is trying to address the 4 major markets, urban, utilities, automotive, and the broader private sector location intelligence market. The Current platform that genesys has can be tweaked to make it interoperable among these verticals.
  • BharatNet : Company was unable to agree on the commercial and payment terms, its still pursuing it and will take it up if its favourable.
  • Pipeline of projects : Around 1000 crores pipeline on urban side and overall pipeline is around 2500+ crores, Company expects to have around 1000 crores coming to them out of this.
  • On automotive side, company has already made progress in the last 3 quarters and expect to have some +ve announcements from OEM cusomters in the second half of this FY26.
  • NNG and HERE - Company is under discussions to use ADAS/HD data for navigation. Company already invested around 300 crores building the map covering 8.5 million Kms of 2D navigable map, 3D mapping of multiple cities, Chairman mentioned this is very const-efficient considering they own the IP and content of this.
  • Company has a 15 personnel senior leadership already and will continue to increase it further.
  • Depreciation : the intangible assets are 200 crores , 150 crores is of the product and Database already developed and another 49 crores is the database that was developed some 10 yrs ago. This is the old DB that company is writing of as earlier the govt policies were not clear, post the Geospatial policy these are addressed well. The depreciation is around 7-10 yrs for these assets. And for sensors and aircrafts is 5-10 yrs.
  • Apple has started licensing the street network data from Genesys, as company is now maintaining the most extensive street network data. Maximum automation and Computer vision is used in this product. Company is also using Agentic AI now.
  • Due to Operation sindoor, company lost 1.5 months as airports and data collection was shutdown in q1. And also there was early rains which impacted the work in q1.
  • Saudi : In advanced stage and closing around 150 crores of order by q3.

For a company that does not do concalls, getting such information from an AGM is priceless. Your effort to share and transcribe is much much appreciated. Thank you.

Any idea if anyone did ask about the receivables? The fast depreciating mapping data resulting in repeated expenditure, and the high receivables- these are the two concerns I guess that weigh the stock down.

There was a question on depreciation only ( nothing on receivables though).

Thanks a Lot for sharing the AGM notes. Considering the elusive nature of the promoter getting this info is indeed priceless. Investors will need lot of patience with this company considering the nature of business (govt projects). Cash flows will remain a challenge and so will be the receivables. Lot of promise but the journey will be slow and steady. Don’t expect any fireworks in the immediate future.
