“The level of the Ammonia was tested by TNPCB around 3:30am on 27 December, but Jayaraman said that the 8 locations, which were chosen by the TNPCB were unrelated to the wind direction. Since the sample was taken three to four hours after the time of occurrence of the leak, the TNPCB should have considered the wind movement and should have collected sampled from the south west location from the point of leak as that was the wind direction.” Ennore Coromandel gas leak was a close shave. Due to recent gas leak incident and continuous protest for plant shutdown, there is sharp decline in share price and the next hearing is adjourned till Feb 6th 2024…
