Portfolio returns calculated by different investment houses using various methods may not provide me with the actual returns. Instead of focusing on the return percentage, if we focus on the Expected Amount based on our return expectation, we can judge if the Portfolio Manager has been doing a fair job for us or not.

I believe, this will be beneficial to all investors who have invested with some PMS or Advisor; all investors who don’t understand the return numbers provided by any Fund house and want to understand the returns calculation on their own.
