Sundrop Brands Ltd (Agro Tech Foods ) - A small cap MNC foods FMCG

The new appointment has a lot of experience in process engineering that makes sense for chief of staff but whether that works for heading strategy or not is open to question

Its rare for a process excellence person who takes a very granular look at everything (micro) to also hold a strategy role which looks holistically at everything(macro)

That said title inflation is common in the business world and designations are given out whether you actually do the work or not to keep people happy.

Interesting choice of pronouns in the bio.

Why did promoters sell ~17% stake?

This is not a promoter sale. Sundrop underwent a restructuring involving a change in promoters. Initially, private equity (PE) funds acquired the company from its previous promoters. Subsequently, Sundrop acquired Del Monte Foods. As part of the Del Monte acquisition, Sundrop issued shares to the shareholders of Del Monte (primarily Bharti and Del Monte), which are currently classified under public shareholding on Screener.

Therefore, if you add the promoter shareholding and the shareholding of Bharti and Del Monte as of the March 2025 quarter, the total will be higher than the promoter shareholding reported in the December 2024 quarter.
