Scrip: Suditi Industries

I have noticed a company named Suditi Industries in Textile Business. What I impressed most is that their unique way of business Expansion.

Last year they got Apparel Right in India of FIFA world cup 2014, after the success of that event they have bagged the apparel rights in India of many prestigious Premier league football Club that includes Real Madrid, Arsenal & Manchester City as well they are in talk with couple of more clubs.

By doing so they are aiming to find a new market segments as well as create a brand value of their Retail brand named “Riot”. They have around 15 retail outlets in India and tied up with many Retail Chains and online stores. If you read their last annual report we can understand that They are expecting 20 to 30% revenue growth in current fiscal year.

Apart from this I have noticed 75% of the company holding by promoters in that around 70% holding by Single promoter.

And for the dividend side last year they have given 0.50 Rs/Share dividend for 25% public share holders. Promoters haven’t taken any. That is showing management friendly attitude towards the minority retail share holders.

Iam Seeing a great future for this Company. Welcome Experts opinion on this Scrip.

Dear Thanveer,

Story looks interesting, but numbers need to show up.

Association with FIFA # is it bcz of superior product quality or promoter influences ?

Riot brand recognition is poor.

Profitability does not improve while top line growing.

Dear Shanid,

Thanks for your reply. Yes for sure We have to wait for better numbers. And for their Association with FIFA, to be honest I have no idea how they got the license. But what I feel that FIFA World cup 2014 should be a turning point of this company.

"According to Pawan Agarwal, the chairman and managing director of Suditi Industries, the licensing rights for the World Cup merchandise were acquired for the sum of guarantee money of Rs. 60 Lakh and his company has manufactured about 2.5 lakh pieces of FIFA T-shirts, sweat shrits, boxers, polos, tracksuits making an investment of Rs. 5 Cr on the merchandise which includes the amount paid for the third party licensing and manufacturing rights.

Pawan Agarwal believes that the FIFA licence will open new vistas for him and in future the company may embark on similar deals with leading football clubs around the world.

He said his company was also manufacturing licensed apparel for well known names like Master Golf Course, US Open Tennis and Yankees".

The new contracts with reputed clubs will ensure steady revenue growth in future and will open more opportunities. What I feel that they are aiming to become a Specialist in Sport wear Garments Segments.

Animesh Maheshwari, retail head, Suditi Industries, said the company bought third-party FIFA 2014 from Mumbai-based brand management and licensing enterprise Dream Theatre, which acquired it from Pacific Licensing Studio, FIFA’s licensing agent Link: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/agent for South-east Asia.
