Stock Seasonality & News Analysis

I wanted to analyze market sentiment and the performance of a specific stock over a given period. So, I conducted a seasonality analysis of Hindalco Industries. I observed that the stock has had negative returns in most of January over the past 16 years. It also experienced negative returns in March of 2018 and 2015 (excluding 2020 for obvious reasons).
To understand the underlying reasons, I decided to examine news coverage related to the economy and the stock during those periods. I also asked ChatGPT for guidance on how to do this, but the results weren’t particularly helpful.
Now, I’m reaching out to you all—how can I find news articles related to a specific stock for a specific time period (e.g. March of 201x)?

What was the question that you ask chatgpt in particular ?

Did you try on Gemini or Deepseek ?

go to regular Google, enter your search term Hindalco, and do the search. Then click on the ‘news’ tab to get news. Then click on the ‘tools’ button, and there where is says ‘recent’, you can change that as Custom Range and select a specific date range. Put the From and To.

I have tried this and it works.

I queried both ChatGPT and Gemini with some prior context:

For example, the stock mentioned didn’t perform well in March 2015 and 2018. I want to know the reason why and how to find it.

However, neither provided satisfactory results. ChatGPT suggested a few possible reasons but didn’t cite strong sources. Gemini, on the other hand, outright stated that it couldn’t draw conclusions from the March 2018 performance data and instead suggested where I should look (e.g., financial reports, company pages, etc.).

Awesome, this is helpful. Thanks!
