Sorry for not being able to keep this thread updated.
As I continue to learn about investing and what kind on investor I am, which I believe is very important and will eventually determine how successful one is with investing and returns generated.
Some important aspects that I’ve learnt that I want to share here.
-
Portfolio Concentration & Allocation while still being Diversified
-
Margin of safety
-
Investing Horizon & Compounding (this for me is the most important aspect)
Keeping this into consideration and knowing the kind of investor I am, it’s more applicable for me to increase my concentration in MF’s, Index Funds & ETF’s.
So over the past couple of months I have reduced my allocation in direct equity and I continue to book profits and SIP in these instruments.
Sharing my latest PF allocation for reference.
My top 25 holdings account for ~75% of the allocation. I plan to concentrate this further and if I find margin of safety + special situation I would not mind allocating high in these scenario’s.
Outside of this I continue to hold a significant % allocation in Alphabet via ESOPS that I plan to hold as long as the company is growing it’s revenues.
