I’m seeking feedback on my current mutual fund SIP portfolio. I have a long-term horizon (5 + years) and am comfortable with high risk, aiming for aggressive growth.
My current monthly SIP allocation of ₹2,20,000 is as follows (all are Direct Growth plans):
Nippon Small Cap Fund: ₹50,000 (22.7%)
HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund: ₹40,000 (18.2%)
HDFC Flexi Cap Fund: ₹40,000 (18.2%)
Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund: ₹40,000 (18.2%)
ICICI Prudential India Opportunities Fund: ₹30,000 (13.6%)
HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund: ₹20,000 (9.1%)
Previously I had following which i have stopped in Dec 2025
Quantt Small Cap
Motilal Oswal Midcap
Edelweiss balanced Adv
In addition to this, I also have FDs, PPF, NPS, and some direct US market investments (recently started in the US market).
I’m particularly interested in comments regarding any fund category i can remove/add/replace. Also, should i include index funds as well (like nifty50 and next50, any momentum index fund etc)
HDFC Flexi Cap & Parag Parikh Flexi Cap both are overlapping each other not just because they are Flexi cap, but they have common stocks also, the number of stocks that are over lapping doesn’t make sense.
Too Many Funds: 1 Small Cap, 1 Midcap, 2 Flexi Cap, 1 BAF, 1 Thematic
Wrongly Diversified: If you are chasing aggressive growth then why have BAF & if you have a BAF for security than why are you chasing high risk.
Rookie Mistakes
Stopping SIP’s & changing funds will never let you compound your money.
Selecting stocks of some other country while you are not expert enough to understand Indian companies
Diversification
Commodity Allocation is missing
Foreign Allocation is missing
Looking at your portfolio & choices made my recommendation to you would be talk to an expert, make your goals aligned with investment, get your portfolio & finances reviewed. Otherwise, any sudden correction or change in life will disturb your strategy.
