There are a couple of Bonuses and dividends whose ex-dates are on a Friday and the record dates are on a Saturday. With the T+1 settlement, I was of the view that record dates and ex-dates are now the same.

What does this mean? Can someone please help me understand? Stock was trading ex-bonus on 24th but even if I bought the stock on the 24th, I will be eligible for the bonus?
