La Tim Metal (formerly known as Drillco Metal Carbides Ltd) is engaged in the business of importing steel colour coated coils and profile sheets and trading them into the Indian market. They also have a state-of-the-art range of galvalume / galvanized pre-painted steel coils manufacturing capacity in Umbergaon, Gujarat through its wholly owned subsidiary, La Tim Sourcing India Pvt Ltd. It is having a capacity of 1 lakh MTPA. They are enhancing the capacity of this (there are also government incentives for capex).
The Company was originally promoted by Mr. Mahendra Sekhri, K.S. Ghotankar, Mr. S.J. Ahmed, Mr. J.P. Vidwans, and Mr. J.K. Khanna; and SICOM and WMDC (West Maharashtra Development Corporation) were the co-promoters in the Company.
In 2010, the Company was acquired by Mr. Rahul Timbadia and his family members and now they are the present promoters of the Company.
In India, colour coated coils and profiles are mainly consumed in construction and infrastructure sector. In recent years, colour coated coils and profiles have gained lots of acceptance in the domestic market and consequently their consumption has tremendously increased. It is expected that colour coated coils and profiles will gradually replace traditional roofing and siding materials in construction sector.
They have a land parcel in Khopoli and they are monetising it by converting it into an industrial park

This will add Rs 35-45 Cr of EBITDA.
