Is there is source that gives standard deviation for stock prices?

Consider Granules’ chart -
http://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/pharmaceuticals/granulesindia/GI25

In the time period Oct-2014 to June-2015, the stock moves in a narrow range. Hence the average deviation or standard deviation (of daily closing prices) from the mean is very small.

I wanted to know if there is a source where one inputs the time period (say last 6 months) and the standard deviation (some number…will be in percentage terms actually) , and it gives all listed stocks having standard deviation within the given input during the specified time period.

Thanks

I don’t know any such source, but it’s a very important observation you make.
I remember Atul Suri of RaRe (Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s technical guy) saying that Pharma has been a big wealth creator for retail investors in part due to less volatility.
