Introducing Buffett GPT – An AI assistant trained on the wisdom of Warren Buffett

Hi everyone,

I’ve built Buffett GPT – an AI assistant trained on the writings, speeches, and public insights of Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway.

You can try it here. It’s 100% free

You’ll need to sign up for chatgpt to access it. I’m not collecting your emails. OpenAI manages all user data.

It’s trained on:

  • All Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Letters (1977–2024)
  • Buffett Partnership Letters (1956–1970)
  • Interviews (eg: CNBC, Fortune, Charlie Rose)
  • Q&A sessions

I made this for working professionals like myself who don’t have time to read through every letter or interview. That said, if you do have the time, I’d still highly recommend reading the original letter and watching the interviews. they are timeless.

It doesn’t give stock recommendations or predict the future. But if you somehow manage to jailbreak it, feel free to DM me - I’ll update the system prompt accordingly :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Disclaimer

  • LLMs may hallucinate or generate inaccurate info
  • Always cross-check key insights with original sources
  • Some letters/ videos are old and may not reflect Buffett’s current views
  • Use it as a learning companion, not as an advisor

Would love for you to try it out and share any feedback

here’s how i use it

1. understand his philosophy

ask it to explain principles like moat, intrinsic value, margin of safety etc.

2. study berkshire hathaway letter

you can ask for key insights from past letters

3. Gain timeless advice

ask things like what he learned from past investing mistakes, his advice to young investors starting with small amounts of money, his thoughts on timing the market etc

4. Analyze companies or investment

ask why did he invest in xyz company or why he sold xyz stock, how he decides when to sell etc

5. train your mindset

ask what habits helped him become a great investor, what books he recommends, or which mental models he uses.

These are just top-of-mind examples. I’ll share more use cases later. If anyone has good use-cases, feel free to share them here or DM me.
