How to invest directly in mutual funds

Hi,

I had a doubt regarding redeeming my MF units. Let’s say I have been doing monthly SIPs for the past 5 years and as of today I want to redeem a part of my Units. Is it possible to select and sell only the oldest units that I have held for approx. 4 years?

(Asking here cause I didn’t find answers anywhere on the net)

It will be First In, First Out by default as long as Folio is same.

By default old units only will be considered as sold.

Query

Is there any difference in fees if investing in mutual funds via COIN VS going direct via the funds website/app itself?

Coin has direct plans, so the NAV is the same, so no difference in fee.

Thanks.

What’s the best website to study all available Mutual funds and understand past performance, etc .?

Regarding the past performance–when the funds themselves come with the standard disclaimer that past performance is not an indication of future returns, analysis of past performance will have its limits for many reasons.

I don’t know of the best website, but there are some resources like

www.valueresearchonline.com - they also have a mutual fund magazine

www.niftyindices.com - for passive investing

To study: Morningstar and Value Research (Ignore star rating, use data to make independent study and evaluations).

To Invest: MF Central, MF Utilities, Zerodha Coin, Kotak Neo. Few others.
