Does Selling for tax-loss harvesting also occurs in Indian stock markets.
Reading about this topic in the book one up on wall street.
It suggests
tax loss harvesting at the end of the financial year creates a good chance for us to find some good stocks at bargain prices.
Are these opportunities available in Indian markets?
I know few friends who are planning to book some capital loss my selling and buying it back ( one sell and one buy transaction ) so can carry it forward and set it off against gains in coming years as permitted by tax laws.
I am not an expert but just sharing what i know from couple of friends
