If you enjoy well-researched, longform stories about companies—blending their history, business strategy, and opportunities—told in an engaging, highly readable style, I’d love to introduce you to my passion project: https://empor.top.
It’s a growing collection of deep dives into leading companies (50+ so far), written and curated by me as a solo founder, with AI as my co-pilot. I started this for my own curiosity, but I’m now opening it up to a wider audience to gather feedback and ideas.
The site is completely free—no logins, no tracking, no ads—and I intend to keep it that way. Over time, I plan to add advanced features to make the experience even richer.
I’d be delighted if you could take a look and share your thoughts.
At cursory glance, your writings are related to top companies only. As information on top companies are easily available, it would have been better to concentrate on niche companies or sectors of your choice or other interesting companies.
This is my opinion.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, using LLM agents based on claude opus along with search tools, etc stuff. Depending upon the company and material etc, it costs about $5-$15 to generate an article.
Hey on first look very clean and crisp homepage. a random click into the story of PFC caught my attention too. But i do agree with a few of the others who have also commented that most articles are on already discovered names and largecaps. It would be very nice if you could put up articles on lesser known names which look interesting companies. for eg Genus Power HPL electric KRBL CAPACITE etc.. not taking away nay credit though for what you have already shared gracefully. Top work.
Thank you all for the feedback so far and please keep it coming … we are now 100+ companies on https://empor.top - and I’ll continue to add more! Thanks
V GOOD READ . plz cover mores cos specially mid and small caps as thats where most of VPers invest & these are huge wealth creators provided promoters are ethical with execution track records good opp size of sector & minority shareholder friendly
Created a few audio files in addition to adding new companies. Check out Audio in a few places The 3M India Story (3MINDIA) but I messed up the script instead of adding audio at the very beginning and end I added it to each section’s beginning and end. Still… something worth trying out.
In the last 7 days, 1500 odd users. The good thing is we are now indexed by Google and I’m seeing the first trickle of organic search traffic.
More than all of that - I’m actually enjoying reading the articles :)
Still need some feedback and ideas on how/if it can go big.
Current roadmap
500 Indian companies
500 US companies
500 EU+UK companies
200 Asia ex-Japan ex-India
200 Japan
Text to voice - maybe? Based on feedback. The problem is that it’s unsustainable as it takes a long time to generate and is expensive.
translate to Hindi/Marathi/Gujarati (Mumbai languages as most traders speak these) - maybe, I speak all three but will multiply my QA effort
Final goal - get a sponsor to cover all costs - by December. However the commitment is that the site will always be free, no ads and no 3rd party tracking cookies etc.
Thanks for all support and feedback. The journey started with wild explorations and I have pivoted many times to end up here. I still have some appetite to pivot so keep the ideas and feedback coming
Updates:
I’ve added “Chat with this content” which redirects to chatgpt for summarizing the content, etc.
An “I’m feeling lucky” button so that people can go to a random page (believe it or not, people wanted a feature like this!)
A twitter account https://x.com/emportop (tweets are currently visible only to logged in users, this is not my setting, blame X)
…and already seeing some tremendous user love
Thanks a lot folks, please keep the feedback coming!
A PWA is essentially a website that behaves like an app: it loads quickly, can send push notifications, works offline, and can be installed on your device for easy access. Big brands like Twitter, Pinterest, Uber, and Spotify offer PWAs, demonstrating their flexibility and cross-platform reach. Most importantly, PWAs eliminate the need to download or update traditional apps from app stores. The empor.top PWA is updated instantly when I release new features or bug fixes.
Offline Usage with PWAs
PWAs stand out because of their offline capabilities. This means the app can save all stories while online so that you can access content and continue browsing even if their internet connection drops or they are in a low-network area. This provides a smoother, more reliable user experience—great for traveling, weak network zones, and uninterrupted browsing and was one of the top requests I got!
folks, seeing great uptake on this. I’ve added tons of companies here based on user feedback. Really great to hear from all. https://empor.top and you can request companies etc at x.com/emportop
