I am a Civil Engineer and an ardent finance, investing, economics, & valuation disciple. I have worked across the infrastructure spectrum technically and commercially - hence; my theme is Infrastructure, this is a space I understand and am deeply passionate about and where I have made my buck.

I began my career helping UK based consultancies establish in India involving strategy, execution, payroll, management, P&L responsibility and then working on infrastructure projects. I then joined WSP as a Highway Engineer supporting UK projects for 3 years and then left to explore my passion in entrepreneurship and equity markets full time.

I currently spend my time doing a lot of reading and learning and at the same time building ascendia.co.in which I started to help UK SMEs set up design teams in India - however my passion inclines more towards studying businesses and investing which has been my focus. Because I come from Infrastructure background and understand those businesses well my equity research focus is based around those companies in construction / infrastructure space. I am a strong believer of our PM’s Viksit Bharat and it is my conviction that infrastructure will be a massive underpinning to making this happen and still largely remains untapped.

My idea is to partner with these small and aspirational companies and grow together. I preferably look for small companies (<3000cr Market Cap) which has the potential to grow large enough in our strong economy against the large established ones in this sector who already are limited by opportunities.

Some notable readings I have undertaken are Howard Marks, Buffet Letters ofcourse, Bill Ackman, Mohnish Pabrai, Ray Dalio, Ashwath Damodaran, Joel Greenblat, Thomas Phelps, Charlie Munger, and more mostly on Investing, Finance, Central Banks & Money, and ofcourse a lot of annual reports.
