My name is Parakh Singhal. I am a software developer by profession. I primarily work with Microsoft technologies. I come from a conservative family with no history of dealing with capital markets in any capacity whatsoever. I started my journey into the world of personal finance after reading the book “Let’s Talk Money” by Ms. Monika Halan and since then took charge of my financial affairs. Bought life and health insurance and started investing in mutual funds and a bit in direct equity. Co-incidentally, markets crashed around March 2020, about the time when I was on the cusp of starting my financial journey, so got a nice starting point. I hope to learn about value investing by vetting the business through the eyes of structural changes in the industry, fundamental analysis and experience of others on this forum.
