I had exited HDFC Life in 2023 itself and my allocation was gradually brought down. Avenue Supermarts is the only recent sale.
Both of these were in my wife’s PF so didn’t want an overlap. Also I felt that the returns will be muted.

Can you mention what things made you feel back in 2023 for HDFC Life and for Dmart now that returns would be muted…as you have been right so far.
However many long term investors, and i think even you at some stages, have increased allocations in their picks during times of muted returns if they like the business and long term prospects.
What things made you feel such prospects may not be good. Thanks
