- Pinaka Mk1: Range of 37.5km. Warhead is HEPF(High Explosive Pre-Fragmented) in Mk1 and Mk2. Two more versions called ADM2 and ADM3 in the works. These will have the new ADM warhead that will throw 220 top attack bomblets over an area of 1km by 1km, targetting assets like tanks etc.
- Pinaka Enhanced: 45km range.
- Guided Pinaka: Has canards/fins fitted and carries more propellant. Has an accuracy of 40mtrs which is good for a rocket.
Pinaka systems have already been supplied to Armenia, countries that have expressed interest are Saudi Arabia, France, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Each Pinaka regiment consists of three batteries of six Pinaka launchers (total of 18 launchers); each of which is capable of launching 12 rockets with a range of 40+ km in a space of 44 seconds.
With the ADM versions imagine the destruction 1 regiment can cause: 18x12x220. That’s 47,520 bomblets raining within 1sqkm area(40+ km away) inside a few min/s. Total saturation.
