Hi Tony,

Thanks as always.

i will try to post more frequently.

How does Nahar spinning looks to you on charts.

Another note request you to explain something on divergence of charts. How to read them like RSI is holding out and CCI is falling.

Regards,

Hello Dinesh,

Good to see you again. I am going to write a detailed note on how to check various parameters before buying a stock. Give me some time on that, and I will post it as early as possible.

NAHAR (110)

http://chartink.com/stocks/naharsping.html

The stock is trading above the 5 and 25 day moving average confirming that the momentum is upwards. The RSI and CCI too are trending upwards. This tells that the stock is likely to move up in the coming days. Support is at 107 and 100 its 25 day and 5 day EMA’s.

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/NAHARSPING.html

Since May 2013, the stock is making Higher Tops and Higher Bottoms. This is a bullish sign. The stock retraced from the earlier high of 118 to 98 and begun its upward journey once again. The next resistance is at 118 and thereafter if markets permit, will make a new high. Support exists at 98-96 and 88. A strong stock which is trading above the Bullish Support Line.

"A closer examination of the research data and posts made - shows an emphasis on huge amounts of data, and news/events around the company or industry, butnegligible emphasis on Valuation. End of the day thePrice you get in, is themost important. If you get the Price entry wrong, all your in-depth research is practically useless. On the other hand if you get the entry price right, you do not need much in-depth data. Getting the big picture right is enough! "

The above para is taken from Donald’s recent post on Transparency and Accountability.

What I wish to emphasize here is the point which he has beautifully summarized. I repeat it here once again:

End of the day thePrice you get in, is themost important. If you get the Price entry wrong, all your in-depth research is practically useless.

That is exactly where Fundamental and Technical Analysis marry each other. So how does one pick a winner? There are some rules to be followed while selecting a stock which i wish to enumerate below:

1). FUNDAMENTALS**: The journey begins with Fundamental Analysis. Once the stock meets the parameters laid down, then short list the stock. My personal experience has been this: I was able to find out good stocks based on fundamental analysis. However, my success used to get eroded by the entry at wrong prices. This has got arrested. The analysis here on Valuepickr has been top notch, so i leave this part alone and concentrate on my strength, that is Technical Analysis.**

2). MARKETS: The next thing one should look at is the Markets. If the markets are trending higher, then the stock one is looking for usually should be performing well and vice versa. There may beaberrations, but generally the rule applies. So look at the Bullish Percent for the Market, and the Technical Analysis for the Nifty on the charts.

**3.**SECTOR: Check the sectors which are performing well. Are they overbought or oversold. This one can learn from the Bullish Percent of the Sector. Last time I had written here how the Banking Sector was oversold and one could find stocks at very cheap valuations. Thereafter there was a sudden change in the sentiments and stocks which were beaten down gave a terrific return. Example: Yes Bank. From 225 it jumped to 410.

**4). **STOCK: See on the charts if the stock is trading in the X column or O column. This will tell you if there are more BUYERS or SELLERS. Check for BUY signals or SELL signals, check patterns of HIGHER TOPS AND HIGHER BOTTOMS, LOWER TOPS AND LOWER BOTTOMS.

5. TREND: There is a saying " TREND IS YOUR FRIEND". Very true. Check if the stock is trading above or below the Bullish Support Line and the Bearish Resistance Line. This will help you to know what is the trend.

**6). **MOMENTUM:

a. Check if the 5 day EMA has cut the 25 day EMA from above or below. This will tell youif the stock is going to give a break out in the short term. For the long term one should look at the 50 day EMA and 200 day EMA.

b. Check the RSI. See if it is above 70 or below 30. This will let you know if the stock is overbought or oversold.

c. Check the CCI. See if it trading below 100 or above 100. Whether it is negative or positive. This will again tell you if the stock is overbought or oversold.

If you follow the check list given above, I am sure success will be waiting at your doorstep.

If you do need further help, I am at your service. You can call on me.

Hello Sourabh,

SYMPHONY (394)

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/symphony.html Link: http://chartink.com/pointfigure/symphony.html

The stock is in the X column and on a BUY Signal. It has taken support at 390 from where it gave a BUY signal. There is resistance at 410 where it made a Double Top earlier. Once it breaks this level, you will see the stock fly to 470. It has support at 390 where it made a Triple Top earlier. This can act as a strong support. Thereafter it can touch 350 or 330 on the lower side.

http://chartink.com/stocks/symphony.html Link: http://chartink.com/stocks/symphony.html

The selling pressure in the stock is reducing and it is most likely that the stock can take support at around 390 just below its 5 day EMA. There after it has support at 377, 357 and 342. The RSI is 56 and trending downwards and CCI at 68.

With a change in the Market sentiment, this stock can once again pickup steam on the upper side.

Hi Tony,

Request you to analyze Cera & PI.

Tony, Hi!

Request your TA on CRISIL at CMP.

Thanks!!

Hi Biju,

KAVERI SEEDS (1570)

http://chartink.com/stocks/kscl.html

The stock has been consolidating between 1500 to 1650 since October 2013. It has been unable to break out of this range. The RSI is at 51 and CCI at 20. A good point for entry would be around 1450- 1500. The stock is lacking momentum at present.

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/KSCL.html

A good stock trading above the Bullish Support Line. On a BUY signal presently but in the O column. Resistance levels are 1650 and 1700. Support is at 1450 where it made a Triple Bottom earlier. Below 1450 it will trade below Bullish Support Line and turn weak. However, since August it has not fallen below 1450.

Tony

EMAMI: (472)

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/emamiltd.html

The stock is in the O column on a SELL signal which it gave at 450. Below 460 the stock will turn weak and can touch 450-430-400. Resistance for the stock is at 510-520-540.

http://chartink.com/stocks/emamiltd.html

The stock is trading below all its EMA’s and a weak stock. RSI is at 39 and CCI -55. Look for lower levels around 400-430 for an entry into this stock.

Tony

Jatin,

CERA (600)

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/CERA.html

This is a very strong stock and should be bought into at every dip. Presently the stock is in X column and on a BUY signal which it gave at 600 after breaking Triple Top at 590. Resistance is at 620 after which it will be in new territory. Support is at 590-550-540.

http://chartink.com/stocks/cera.html

Cera gave a break out on 21st November when the 5 day EMA cut the 25 day EMA from below at 567. The RSI is at 71 and CCI at 100 very close to overbought levels. With good volumes and market support the stock can manage to break 620. Lets wait and watch if the CCI moves in the upward direction.

Tony

P I INDUSTRIES (236)

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/PIIND.html

The stock is on a BUY signal which it gave at 220 and 230. It made a new high at 245 and thereafter retraced after some profit booking. Support is at 225-215 and 200. This stock is a BUY on dips. Since September, the stock has been making Higher Tops and Higher Bottoms showing that the trend is UP.

http://chartink.com/stocks/piind.html

The short term momentum of the stock is strong. It is trading above the 5 day EMA and 25 day EMA. Both RSI and CCI are in overbought territory. The stock can retrace to 227 and 205 with some profit booking.

Tony

Hi Ilyas,

CRISIL (1040)

Crisil is a weak stock trading below its Bullish Support Line.

http://chartink.com/pointfigure/CRISIL.html

It gave a SELL signal at 1100 and then touched 920. On a pull back, now trading at 1040. It has resistance at 1060-1120 and 1180. Support is at 920.

http://chartink.com/stocks/crisil.html

On 28th October the 5 day EMA cut the 25 day EMA from Top and the stock started falling from 1163 to 920. The RSI is at 24 and CCI at -121 both in oversold territory. There is a bounce back from 920 to 1040. Please see resistance levels mentioned above and also at 1044 and 1090.

Hi Tony / all

Please can some one let me know if you have “The Dhandho Investor” PDF?

Many many thanks.

Regards

Ravi.

Hitesh/Tony,

Thanks for all your technical analysis.

I have question just for learning - Can you take a look at Repco Home chart? As indicated by Hitesh in repco thread that it formed saucer pattern and target can be higher. However looking plainly on RSI and CCI - it looks overbought and should be sold techincally.

Out of both contradict technical indicator - which one should **trader **respect and why?

Hello Ashwin,

I was out of town and just returned. Will give you my analysis on this a little later.
