I have been meaning to capture the next phase of refinement for our Capital Allocation Framework based on our learnings from 2011 onwards. It’s a tough ask! Several of you have egged me on to try and put together our incremental learnings in a way that is meaningful and useful for the community.
Ever since that fateful discussion and consequent starting of the ValuePickr Public Portfolio and Scorecard, we have been sticking our neck out! We made certain choices consciously on the way dropping s…
To drive home the importance of proper capital allocation, we thought best to start from homeground! A first look at how our stock picks have done over the last year or so.

Ever since the astute senior investor (Mr D) brought my attention to it, I have been trying to refine my thoughts on the subject and create my own models.

Delighted to present VP Business Quality Insights.
Something we promised when we made a good start with the VP Management Quality Insights presentation, last December. Capturing that ART form that we see imprinted in the refinements that senior investors bring to business quality thinking/dissection however, proved to be a tough ask - much tougher than we anticipated.
We struggled and laboured over this for over 2 months, sometimes making very little progress for days. But happy that we persist…
Hi Guys,
Long time! been busy with this n that
Attaching a presentation made to a small private investors club in Bangalore. Most of them are senior investors and prefer not to meet Management; they wanted to hear the other side of the story, knowing I belong to the other camp!
Happy to say - all of them are Converts! They say they do see the merit in what we are doing at VP & how. Thought this should be useful for passionate Learners at ValuePickr as also for senior practition…
I have been passionate about unearthing inferences from the obvious that are in plainsight for a really long time. Like sherlock holmes or newton, everything is in plain sight - it’s just a lot of us refuse to connect the dots to infer the obvious. Some of these are so obvious when someone states them in hindsight that you kick yourself on why you could not get it earlier.
In a raging bull market, a lot of this might sound like preaching celibacy in a harem but I have found out that eventually,…
In addition the Management Q&As and Stock Stories are the best practical education we ever had. The above (hall of fame and learning) sections wouldn’t have come about as crisply perhaps had we not attempted these extensive Q&As with Management.
