Indian Energy Exchange Ltd (IEX)

In the AGM today, the CMD mentioned

  1. market couping could take at least 2 years from the time the regulations are finalised (logic development, software development, specs for hardware and security, audits, mock drill and then finally go live).
  2. Shareholders can expect special dividend post IGX listing (target to do it in CY2026).
  3. Co. may think about buyback.

the day the regulator reduces the transaction charges - the remaining two players will become unprofitable and unviable. If the regulator genuinely wants the other players to survive - then reduction in prices doesnt seem plausible.CERC allows power exchanges to charge 2 paise per unit transaction fee, ETEnergyworld
