Advisory services for stock ideas

Is he Raghav from Pune?

It’s not really an advisory. It is a service that provides tools to generate ideas and how to reach those.
In my opinion this is much more valuable because here you learn how to fish instead of getting it on a plate.
Have been a member for more than a year and have beaten all the indexes (smallcap, midcap and nifty) in that time period

So should I assume you are not on their paid plan

That is their paid plan.
You can just register for a free look of 1 month. If it looks interesting then you can stay on.
If you do join, attend the weekly Sunday calls and join the discord server

you should check out katalyst wealth run by Ekansh Mittal. I think he is related to @ayushmit Ayush Mittal of Value Pickr. Recommendations by Katalyst Wealth are quite good. I am not in their paid plan. But even some of their recommendations that were closed have given me good returns.

It is important to scount advisory well like we do with stocks. 8/ 10 may not be great few things that i look for before selecting a advisory

  1. If advisory is marketing by showing his performance on 1 stock thats up 50% in 6 months or a multibagger its a strick No for me
  2. I try to connect via email or call.to speak to.understand the advisory though process if it suits mine ill give it a shot.
  3. I generally avoid advisory who are over active on social media - they tend to be more of marketers .

I do strongly believe if you are managing a sizeable portfolio putting aside 0.5-1% of PF every year towards enriching your knowledge by different ways advisory , investor meets , agm.

Most of great ideas come from.places you dont expect .

I encountered Niveshaay by reading their note on elecon which was free and though process clicked

Intelsense i used to read abhisek blogs / post- this is most inexpensive advisory with quality.for long term portfolio i have ever com across in India yet. ( 4 yr + a member ) biased

Reiterating i use these advisory purely for idea scouting as they provide a 3 page report of stock.idea which tells me whether i shud deep.dive further or give it a pass.

Happy investing

Provide every week one idea with research report but you need to choose if from and Analyse it further. Good track record personally uses it from last 10 years on and off

Hi Raj
How does it work — do they provide updates and reviews on a quarterly basis, or do they also inform in case the fundamentals of a previously recommended company deteriorate? How is the follow-up handled for earlier suggestions?

Hi Assea
They provide updates like any news alerts , results ( mostly basic stuff which we get from bse nse or other platform ) their is no review or anything . we need to monitor ourselves . this just for idea generation .

Yes, I an relate with your thought process.

After due diligence, sometimes we may reject the idea, and many times, that idea generates good CAGR in next few years. This makes you feel that, you missed the idea in spite of part of the paid service. I am unable to find an answer to this dilemma.

Hence I decided to invest in Max no. of ideas 3-4 years back and that back fired as some of the ideas performed weakly and I lost the conviction in the idea.

I believe that, this can happen with any Paid Service. Ultimately you need to stick to your due diligence and even if you reject few ideas, you should be glad that, you had invested in some ideas which did well. That is the learning from my experiments with Paid service. Over long term, missing on few ideas generally does not matter much.

Quite curious to know what range of XIRR do these recommendation services have given over last 5 years or 7 years or 10 years? May be folks who are subscribers can shed some light. Thanks

Thanks. Actually, ‘suno sab ki, karo man ki’ is very important. I have 12 stocks and two of them are more than 25% each. If I go by the theoreticians, none of them should be more than 10%, but should you jettison them if you expect them to justify your faith?

Yes, I saw so many MFs and FPIs had bought the Sai Life Sciences on the Friday, 20th June, so I thought, there must be something in it, but then better thoughts prevailed and instead of giving it my life’s savings, I have bought 100 of them today as a test balloon.
No recommendation.

Any recommendation for advisory for US/Global markets? I am currently subscribed to SOIC Global research, but they will close it after 6 months.

You can try Seeking Alpha, most of the Authors does not provide much valuable insights but few do. Also, can try out valueinvestorclub.com if you want delayed but good quality research.

Has anyone explored the paid subscription for equity research provided by:

  1. Bastion Research

I have been following them since few months and both seem interesting. Wanted 1st hand feedback if anyone have explored any of them.
