Guys, make sure to limit discussion to the fundamentals rather than diverting to the politics. Rather than speculating, please stick to facts.

@rahulbdhandho Apologies for the delayed response.

You are correct, Piramal Estates Pvt Ltd (PEPL) is not a subsidiary of Piramal Enterprises Ltd (PEL) as Bloomberg reference that I provided indicated. I discovered this from the filings of PEPL with MCA.

However there are related party transactions between PEL and PEPL, and I have responded to that and made some notes on PEPL in “Forensics and the art of triangulation” thread.

How is Piramal able to give housing loans for 8.45% when its cost of capital is 8.3% (gleaned from earlier posts in thread)

Disclosure: Interested. Not invested.

Just checking, does the interest rates depend on individual profile or is fixed for all eligible borrowers.

This is just a loan calculator.

Interest rate is different for different individuals and depends on various things including loan amount, borrower profile, and duration.

‪Why did Ajay Piramal buy Piyush Goyal’s company Flashnet? https://www.bloombergquint.com/business/2018/05/08/ajay-piramal-buys-piyush-goyals-company-only-to-sell-most-of-its-assets-in-months .Still did not getting why piramal sir is not disclosing the valuation menthod and the name of CA who did the valuation for Flashnet.

That is the only important question. The rationale for buying it. Rationale does not add up.
and so, no one has gone to or will go to court for defamation.

It looks really weak on the charts. Though this has not much to do with the fundamentals. But sometimes such price correction hint at future. Is there something which the market can see and we not.

Disc: invested from lower levels and piramal is 20% of my portfolio

Discussion in PEL is more about it’s financial services. However the Pharma vertical is slowly and steadily making it’s presence felt… two old videos .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXk4Qbp1Xt4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm4221m2k10

Planning to hire 1000 engineers/MBA’s from premium B schools and engineering colleges like IIT’s and IIM’s ( against 134 last year)… something is cooking:wink:

First Rights issue in company’s history ( seeing opportunities to deploy the capital), entry into Housing Finance, freedom to pursue re-entry into pharma (out of non compete clause with Abbott) , intention to de-merge finance and pharma entities in near future and now intention to hire top young talent from country’s top engineering and management institutes. Its all building up the momentum for the company and all of this point out to possible " chicken-breaking- out-of-the-egg" moment for the company by 2020.

Knowing Piramal record of rewarding shareholders, it can get very interesting very quickly
