Point 1 …It is a story
point 2 . read the article and see how far n wide its imports are
while
the STORY is only about US govt procurement
Point 3 Its an old rehashed one …not something new …so why the curious timing

too many such reports , old US fda , UK Mhra issues being rehashed and those stocks trashed …big time …look at the wockhardt mgt trying to do damage control and some others …

but once missile is fired its shave a chunk off the mkt cap …

ah…she hasnt even quoted / referred to the US Govt link from where she picked up the whole story …she has been reminded twice yesterday

anyway…our regulators need regulate these super analysts :frowning:

Another issue I have found today in BL. Any one have any idea about this?

I have also found out that govt has withdrawn the custom duty on import of drugs maker. Will this anyway going to affect ?

Yes this is the news finding big coverage in mainline media TV etc. I believe this should be a booster for some of the Indian Pharma companies like Natco who has about 30% India market share in Oncology field and companies like Shilpa. Also in what way it impacts the much discussed companies like Torrent Pharma is not clear. Any one can elaborate? Views invited.

Another article. Mostly same information. A key point is that the FDA inspection does not seem to be an issue

And that point was reiterated many times by the management in the concall.

I like the gradual Move from Generic to Formulation business. Clearly the company is moving up the value chain. We will see Margins expanding during this process and additional capacities will drive vols.

Hi, can some one throw light on how warrants work ?
Promoters pay 25% now and rest 75% before 18 months right ? So, complete money of ~35 cr comes only around/after 18 months ?
If the promoters dont exercise the warrant, then should the company pay back 25% with interest ?
1 warrant equals to 1 equity share ?

if the warrants dont get exercised the money will be forfeited

Yes quite an interesting story !

If they manage to succeed in OTC that would surely increase their margins and give them scope to grow for many years !

Given their strong API base, the formulation shift looks quite well planned.

The company over the last 10 years has managed to compound at a very decent pace with API’s being the core. Now with the strategic shift to the higher margin businesses, it surely is making all the right moves.

Eagerly waiting to see how their formulations strategy unfolds over the years. Quite Optimistic on this multi year growth story.

Hi Guys,

Was reading the Vinati Organics thread and there was discussion on FDA banning Ibuprofen. Was wondering if investors in Granules India have considered this development as the Motilal video shows close to 20% sales contribution from Ibuprofen for Granules India?

Thanks
Ankit

@ankitkhemka7, request you to get the facts verified before posting. It is not a ban, it is a safety warning issued by US FDA for all the commonly used NSAIDs (non-aspirin). Pls find the USFDA warning here.

Moreover, the same is already covered by the members of the forum
