A few books which I read recently from the Indian Market/Author perspective are as follows:
Bulls,Bears and Other Beasts – Santosh Nair – an excellent perspective of greed and redemption of the Indian Stock Market narrated in a thrilling story format. Must read.
Stocks to Riches: Insights on Investor Behaviour --Late. Parag Parikh – Disc: Invested in the MF of his company. An excellent fund for international equity exposure. Do your research before you consider any investing.
Riding the Roller Coaster: Lessons from Financial Market Cycles We Repeatedly Forget – Amit Trivedi – an interesting book to remember the multiple bear markets across the world while investing.
Investing in India: A Value Investor’s Guide to the Biggest Untapped Opportunity in the World – Rahul Sarogi – Consider this book for some good investment advice and research reports.
Gurus of Chaos: Modern India’s Money Masters – Saurabh Mukherjea – Features interviews of some of India’s top MF Fund Managers and their rationales for investing in their big ticket decisions.
Besides this you have other excellent books from authors like Graham,Lynch,Pabrai,Greenblatt,Fisher not necessarily in that order.
A lot of resources available online should also help like Howard Marks and Letters from Buffett.
